HEMIS MONASTERY

Hemis Monastery was established by Ladakhi Dharma King Sengye Namgyal in the 17th century. It is the headquarter of the Drukpa lineage and all the monasteries throughout Ladakh are administered by it. It also trains Lamas for the royal monasteries at Leh, Shey and Basgo.

DARJEELING MONASTERY

The monastery was built in 1971 by the late Thuksey Rinpoche, and the new building was completed in 1992. My guru Thuksey Rinpoche's reincarnation was enthroned and brought up here. A few of our other Rinpoches and Tulkus are now residing in this monastery, while receiving the traditional training and studying philosophy under the guidance of Khenpo Jigme
